Tokimeki Teatime: VTuber Concert & Café Event Report

Tokimeki Teatime: VTuber Concert & Café Event Report

In collaboration with six British VTubers and two European guest performers, Virtual Stage Productions produced Tokimeki Teatime, an all-day VTuber concert & café event held at the Union Theatre in London.

An all-around sweet time!

The theatre was buzzing with excitement as the crowd looked forward to a full cast of European VTubers: Victoria Roman, TRiGGERPHiSH, Utano Pandora, Bonnie Barkswell, Xiulan Long, and REM Kanashibari alongside Nina Saotome and 0shiriko.

The concert ran one talent's setlist every hour, with opportunities for MC segments and collaboration songs. To evoke the feel of a British afternoon tea, each talent prepared a 30- to 45-minute sweets-themed serenade in their Live2D or 3D form. Certain tracks were mixed live for an authentic concert experience.

Victoria Roman, also known as Vicky, was the first to perform. Her performance captivated the audience, and fans were happily surprised when her cover of Unison Square Garden's "Sugar Song and Bitter Step" featured some very special guests: Mint Fantôme and Phoebe Chan from Densetsu.EXE!

Meet-and-greet opportunities with the talents were also available alongside a custom photo opportunity using VCheki. Talent-themed food and drinks were on sale, such as REM's "Sleep REMedy" and TRiGGERPHiSH's "Pull the Trigger! Macarons".

A large crowd of Barkaneers turned up to watch Bonnie perform her cover of Hachioji-P's "Sweet Devil". The room was filled with the warm colours of sunset.

Acrylic standees and keychains on the merch table

Event-exclusive merchandise included penlights, acrylic standees, postcards, keychains, sticker sheets, badges, and a special Tokimeki Tea Times newspaper, with global shipping for overseas fans. The key visuals were drawn by Bennopi and produced in partnership with o!8 Studio.

Overseas fans were also able to view the event. In partnership with Oshi Connect, online streaming tickets were available for purchase, with a post-event time-limited VOD. We hope to implement this platform in future events as well!
