FULL STEAM AHEAD: Bonnie Barkswell Anniversary 3D Concert Report

For the second anniversary and 3D model debut of Bonnie Barkswell, Virtual Stage Productions partnered with Ben Katz Media and XR Studios to produce a fully motion-captured 3D concert. Using equipment from VToku and its software ISMINE, the 10-song performance ran on real-time mocap and was brought together in just 3 weeks.

Bonnie's 3D debut also featured a live MC from her home 3D setup. To make the most of a real-time VTuber concept, tracking data was streamed from OptiTrack Motive directly into Warudo. We were then able to review takes in real time retargeted to Bonnie's model, allowing us to efficiently produce a concert in under a month.

The 80-minute 3D concert was filled with fun memories for Bonnie and her Barkaneers! From her mesmerising cover of Ado's "Mirror" to her soothing rendition of R Sound Design's "flos," the show was a fitting celebration for two years of streaming. Full steam ahead for Bonnie and her fans!
